Very important: Only follow this plan for 4 days

Start your day as follows (literally when you wake up):
• Drink 500ml of water
• Drink a second glass of 500ml water, with a serving of Thermojetics Herbal Beverage
• Third glass of 500ml water, mix in Herbal Aloe Concentrate and take:
o 2 Fibre & Herb tablets
o 1
o 1 Lipobond

Breakfast:
• Nutritional shake mix (2 scoops) mixed with 250ml water
• Add a serving Thermojetics to your shake
• 1 slice of wholewheat toasted bread (no butter)

Lunch:
• 30 minutes before your meal:
o 2 Fibre & Herb tablets
o 1 Herbal Complex
o 2 Lipobond
• Nutritional shake mix (2 scoops) mixed with 250ml water
• Add a serving Thermojetics to your shake
• ½ cup of salad
• ½ cup of  vegetables
• ½ cup of sweet potato

Dinner:
• 30 minutes before your meal:
o 2 Fibre & Herb tablets
o 1 Herbal Complex
o 2 Lipobond
• Nutritional shake mix (2 scoops) mixed with 250ml water

Drink as much water as possible throughout.

Craving something sweet or doughy?  It is usually at this stage when people tend to reach for the carbohydrates.  In essence, it is also no surprise because carbs are some of the most readily available snacks!  Just think how easy a packet of chips, a pie, doughnut, biscuit, rusks, chocolate is obtainable.

Most people tend to reach for the carbs is they are feeling tired, stressed.  Research does show that they do help you feel better. One study suggests that carbs might play a role in triggering the release of endorphins in the body.  It also has mood boosting effects by the release of serotonin which helps you feel calmer and more focussed.  And of course, carbohydrates are a source of energy, which will give you energy to pull yourself out of that tired feeling. 

Know we know that there is a scientific reason why we do it!  Therefore, the key lies in “how” we do it!

The worst thing that you can do is to reach for the ‘bad’ carbohydrates.  These are your sugary (chocolate), or highly refined (chips, bagel, doughnut, biscuits) which will not only give you the serotonin release, but unfortunately also a sugar surge.  This will leave you feeling energised at first, but a few hours later you will even more sluggish then when you started – clearly the last thing you want when under pressure already!

There are some healthy snack alternatives which are a much better option.  It is also important to pair the carbohydrate with a little protein.  Here are some options:
- Eat half an apple and a tablespoon of peanut butter (peanut butter for protein)
- A small tub of Bulgarian yoghurt with blueberries
- A protein bar
- Half (or a few sips of) a as a snack.
