portion control
Most of us were told to clean our plates at every breakfast, lunch and dinner  – because ‘there are hungry children somewhere in the world!’  Allthough this is unfortunately true,  what isn’t true is that you have to keep eating even when you are full, just to empty your plate.

However as adults we do now feel compelled to finish whatever is in front of us.  And it is a hard habit to break.  There are however a few easy tips to help.

-Use smaller plates
Keep them saucer to sideplate size.  In a Cornell University study, people who ate hamburgers from saucers believed they were eating an average of 18% more kj as those who had their hamburgers on normal sized plates.

-Mind the size of your bowls
Those nice little bowls you use for cereal, pastas or other foods?  They are deceivingly deep.  The bigger the bowl, the more food you will probably stuff in there.  Rather use a teacup.

-Use tall glasses
For some reason, we tend to pour more into a low tumbler, than we do into a long glass.  However for your water, take the very biggest glass that you can find.

The Herbalife eating plan also effectively helps you to control your serving and portion size.  For two meals a day, you enjoy a delicious , that is yet filling enough to satisfy you for a full meal.  We also have a range of and weight loss enhancers that can help to burn extra weight.

emotional eating

Does a bad day, upsetting emotions or situations leave you without an appetite, or does it leave you reaching for the nearest thing(s) to eat?
A very interesting study showed that people that are overweight are more frequently found to suffer from depression.

For both having no appetite or overeating, there are physiological changes that take place in your body.  When you are practising ‘’ it might be because you are experiencing a lack of serotonin (‘the feel good hormone’) and therefore reach for sweets, chocolate or starches that bring about an instant boost of this.

The best medicine for helping yourself in this situation is to have a plan in place.  A healthy eating plan that helps you to maintain good nutrition. This will provide a good balance for your body – helping your physiological setup cope with the need for comfort food.

Another very important aspect is have healthy snacks in place.  When you do feel that you want to binge on the comfort foods, rather reach for the protein bar or fruit as an alternative.

The Herbalife diet offers you a complete solution to weight management.  Whether you need to , maintain weight or gain weight, we have a solution for you.

Follow the healthy meal replacement program to ensure that your body gets the nutrients it needs on a daily basis.  This would include:
Herbalife Nutritional Shake Mix
Herbalife Personalised Protein Powder
Herbalife Fibre & Herb
Herbalife Multivitamin

Take a Herbalife Thermocomplete at ‘tea times’ in between meals to help suppress appetite and to keep you feeling energetic till your next meal.
