Sound like a lot of hard work and giving up what you love?  Following a plan does not mean you can’t have a little of what you love to eat, but there are a few rules:

-No big portions.  Not in food or in sweet treats.  For instance, restaurant portions are usually 1.5 to 2.5 times the size of an appropriate healthy portion.  A piece of cake in the coffee shop is roughly 16 times too much.  And that jumbo cappuccino muffin has just snatched all your carbohydrate needs for the day.  Not only do big portions have a lot of calories, it also takes a long time to move through your digestive system, leaving you feeling sluggish.

-Eat less, do more.  The more you eat, the more activity and you need to burn the energy you get from the food.  By lowering the amounts / portion size and introducing more activity, you can lose weight and and have more energy.
