The Health Benefits of the Vitamin B2
Riboflavin
Riboflavin is renowned for what it is able to

deficiency occurs in two forms. A Riboflavin deficiency
can firstly be primary in which it occurs due
to insufficient amounts in one's diet. It can
also be secondary whereby it occurs as the result
of conditions which affect absorption in the intestine,
the body not being able to use the vitamin, or
an increased excretion of the vitamin by the body.
Signs and symptoms of a deficiency in Riboflavin
include:
- cracked and red lips
- inflammation of the lining of both mouth and
tongue
- mouth ulcers
- anaemia
- bloodshot, light-sensitive, watery, and itchy
eyes
